Shipping & Returns Policy

At Gudbuys https://gudbuys.co.za/, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return an item, please review our policy below to see how we can assist you quickly and efficiently.
1. Return Window
Our refunds and returns policy lasts for 14 days. If 14 days have passed since your delivery date, we unfortunately cannot offer you a full refund or an exchange.
2. Eligibility Requirements for Change-of-Mind Returns
If you have changed your mind about a product, it can be returned provided that:
- The item is completely unused and in the exact same condition that you received it.
- It is securely packed in its original, undamaged packaging.
- You provide a valid receipt or proof of purchase.
Please Note: Do not send your purchased items back to the manufacturer. All returns must be handled directly through the Gudbuys verification process.
3. Non-Returnable & Exempt Items
For safety, hygiene, and logistical reasons, certain types of goods cannot be returned:
- Perishable or Consumable Goods: Items with a limited shelf-life or household consumables that have been opened.
- Hazardous Materials: Flammable liquids, chemicals, or gases (common in certain hardware or tool maintenance products).
- Gift Cards & Vouchers
- Clearance / Sale Items: Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Items purchased on sale or clearance are final and cannot be refunded unless they are inherently defective.
4. Partial Refunds
There are specific situations where only a partial refund may be granted (subject to inspection):
- Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned or logged more than 14 days after delivery.
5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items (CPA Compliance)
If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect upon delivery, please notify us immediately at info@gudbuys.co.za.
- We will arrange to collect the item from you at our expense.
- Once inspected and verified as defective, you will receive your choice of a full refund, repair, or a replacement exchange.
6. The Return & Refund Process
- Log Your Return: Email us at info@gudbuys.co.za with your order number and details of the item you wish to return.
- Inspection Notification: Once your return is received and inspected at our facility, we will send you an email notifying you that we have received the item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Payment: If your return is approved, your refund will be processed and paid directly via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) into your verified bank account.
7. Return Shipping Costs
- For change-of-mind returns, you will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs to return the item to the warehouse address provided in your approval email.
- Initial shipping fees are non-refundable. If you receive a refund for a change-of-mind return, the original cost of shipping will be deducted from your payout.
- If you are shipping items of high value, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned package.
8. Gift Returns
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a digital gift credit for the exact value of your return once the item is safely received and inspected by our team.
